Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Dental College & Hospital, Pune marked a historic milestone with the inauguration of its Department of Robotic Dentistry on 30th June 2026, becoming one of the pioneering institutions to establish a dedicated department focused on robotic-assisted dental care, education, and research.
The department was inaugurated in the distinguished presence of Dr. Asmita Jagtap, Executive Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical Foundation; Dr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Principal; Dr. Sanjay Londhe, Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College & Hospital; internationally renowned aesthetic dentists Dr. Galip Gurel and Dr. Stefen Koubi; Mr. Olivier Tintorini from Lupin Dental, France; and Dr. Manisha Jadhav.
The Department of Robotic Dentistry is the result of the successful collaboration between Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College & Hospital, Pune, Lupin Dental, France, and Indical.
The Bharati Dental Robotic Team comprises Dr. Vijaysinh More, Dr. Pankaj Kadam, Dr. Santosh Jadhav, Dr. Yogesh Khadtare and Dr. Sarah Mariam, whose dedication and collaborative efforts have been instrumental in establishing this pioneering initiative.
The Department of Robotic Dentistry will focus on advanced smile design, robotic-assisted veneer procedures, clinical research, international collaborations, observership and fellowship programs, continuing dental education, and the development of future robotic applications in dentistry.
