Dentures
At Bharati Dental Hospital, we use advanced technology to deliver dental treatments that are precise, efficient, and patient-friendly. Our approach focuses on enhancing comfort while ensuring effective outcomes through modern dental care solutions.
Introduction
What are dentures?
Dentures are custom-made artificial teeth used to replace missing teeth and tissue. Complete dentures replace an entire arch of teeth, while partial dentures fill smaller gaps and use a metal frame to prevent your remaining natural teeth from shifting. Both types are removable for cleaning and are designed to fit your unique gum line perfectly.

Know the type of Dentures Available
Complete Dentures
Ideal for patients missing all their teeth in one or both jaws. They are custom-fitted to your gums and the roof of your mouth, restoring full facial structure and the ability to eat and speak.
Partial Dentures
Used when some natural teeth still remain. These consist of artificial teeth attached to a gum-colored base, often secured by a discreet metal framework that prevents your natural teeth from shifting.
Implant-Supported Dentures
A modern, stable alternative that snaps onto titanium posts surgically placed in the jaw. These provide superior “staying power” compared to traditional dentures, eliminating the need for messy adhesives.
Process

Know your Denture fitting Process
Restoring your smile with dentures is a precise, multi-step process focused on comfort and a natural fit.
Step 1: Consultation & Strategy
Our doctors begin with a thorough oral exam to determine if you need Complete or Partial dentures. At this stage, we address any necessary pre-treatments like extractions and provide a clear explanation of costs, expectations, and overall treatment planning.
Step 2: Precision Impressions & Alignment
We take detailed impressions of your mouth to create a model, ensuring accurate fit and alignment. Using specialized techniques, we set your bite and allow you to preview the dentures before final fabrication for comfort and aesthetic adjustments.
Step 3: Final Delivery
We place your custom dentures carefully and ensure proper fit, comfort, and stability for everyday use. Our team also provides guidance on how to insert, remove, and maintain your dentures to help you adapt comfortably and confidently.

Post Operative Care
Do’s
- Clean Daily - Brush your dentures once a day with a soft-bristle brush and non-abrasive cleaner to remove plaque.
- The Nightly Soak - Always remove dentures at night. Keep them in water or a prescribed solution (avoid chlorine) to prevent them from warping or drying out. Doing so also helps them retain their shape and moisture.
- Using denture-cleaning solutions - Do not overuse your denture-cleaning solutions and make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. Overuse of such solutions can lead to decline of the materials used in the denture.
- Rinse Thoroughly - Always rinse your dentures in clean water before putting them back in the morning.
- Professional Checks - Visit us immediately if your dentures feel loose or if you notice sore spots on your gums.
Don’ts
- Hot water - Avoid using hot water to clean your dentures as that could distort the shape of your dentures and can cause discomfort when you wear it again.
- Oral hygiene - Do not avoid oral hygiene just because you have started using dentures. You need to brush, floss and rinse your mouth regularly to maintain your oral hygiene.
- Do not make any adjustments to the dentures manually - Visit Bharati Dental Hospital at the earliest if there is damage or your dentures seem loose or you experience discomfort on wearing them.
